January Update + Playmat sneak peak!

Hello Backers!

We hope you are doing well! We have some great images to share this time of proofs and an update from our manufacturer. As one of our backers mentioned, that is the most important milestone in getting an accurate time estimation for final delivery. As we mentioned in a previous update, we had missed our original time target goal with the manufacturer because of extra time spent to complete the stretch goals artwork, play testing, and game balance, and needed to get rescheduled. Chinese New Years, which is observed in China starting in Late Jan and lasts for 2 weeks is also a big factor in the timing. We will include more details below after we share some of these beautiful images.

First up is the final proof for the reprinting Base Game, turned out great!

As usual, they did a fantastic job on the print and build quality.

The 2nd edition base game has been fully approved!

Up next is the new expansion print proofs! This is the first time we have seen the new expansion artwork printed at this high of a quality; a very exciting view. I feel like Jeff's artwork gets better every year and the new art on the expansion cards really proves that.

 Things are more fun with tokens! (Resource tracking tokens as well!)

The print proofs had our full approval in mid-march but we have hit the delays of Chinese New Years, so we have been awaiting the final printed proof of the expansion. They were able to complete the neoprene playmats proofs and I am thrilled with how they came out! They have been fully approved.

The print quality is excellent, and the text printed very clearly. The finish feels wonderful on the cards, and the extra artwork and design work Jeff did made these playmats something very special. I am very excited to hear how everyone likes these when they ship out.

We will share photos of the other mat's Kingdoms artwork in the next update.

•  Manufacturing Update, As mentioned above, our new estimated completion date from the manufacturer is April 20th. We realize this is quite a delay from our original timeslot and will be working as diligently as possible to ensure no further delays and the highest level of quality for the base game, expansion and the play mats.
•  Fulfillment partners We have updated our fulfilment partners for the new timeline. It is wise to estimate proper time for freight shipping (typically estimated at about a month) and then the handling and shipping to local backers once the pallets arrive at each regional destination. (2-3 weeks)

December Update + Print and Play Delivery

Happy Holidays backers!

Since our last update, we have made some great progress. The print and play files for both the base game and expansion are completed with the final print updates and will be sent out to backers today! Watch for a message with a link to the files.  As we had mentioned before, we had taken some additional time in some of the finalization of the stretch goals, additional playtesting, and final rule changes. This shifted our original manufacturing date and we have now given our manufacturer the final print files for both games and have received initial proofs. We are now currently waiting the final scheduling for production after final sign off. We will keep all backers up to date as soon as we find out more.

In the meantime we have continued to work with our fulfilment companies to make sure we are well covered for the global shipping campaign when copies are ready. We also wanted to leave you with a sneak peak of one more of the bonus Ruler Trait cards that we have added!

Our next update should give us a much more accurate timeline for the remaining process including manufacturing and fulfillment once we hear back about our updated scheduling from the manufacturer. Thank you all for the support, we are very excited to get these games into your hands!

November Update + Peek at the Dual Land Cards!

Hello Backers!

We hope you are doing well!  Since the completion of the Kickstarter we have been hard at work preparing the game and prepping for the fulfillment and wanted to give you an updated over each step of the process. Although we had done a great job of planning and getting each major step lined up, we did underestimate the time for completing the addition of all the new stretch goals and full finalization with those. As a result, our initial timeline has slipped, you can see a full update of each step below. The print and play files and the 1st edition version shipments will be going out this month.

Some of the major tasks we have been working on:

• Finalization of the new Stretch Goal contents in bothart and gameplay balance. This Includes the 
• Quick rules reference guide
• Updated Militia cards
• Belief pack cardboard cutout holders
• The Observatory Land Card
• 4 beautiful kingdom variations of the Neoprene Playmats
• 6 new dual land cards
•  2 ruler traits as a bonus we have added 2 additional Ruler Traits! 

Here is the new dual land card artwork below:

• Additional playtesting was done, especially with a focus on the expansion specifics and new stretch goal items. This is an important piece for me because playtesting ultimately ends with a overall better game design and experience for players. This also helps fill out our rules and the FAQ in the rulebook with common issues and questions players may find when they are playing. Solo mode is also an important part and care was taken to ensure the solo mode lives up to the original. I know we have many solo mode backers!
• Backer Surveys completed and fulfillment addresses set. Thank you to all backers who promptly completely their reward surveys in a complete manner.  If you have still not completely your survey at this point, please reach out immediately or be at risk for missing the initial fulfillment wave.
• Manufacturing Update, The first edition Era of Kingdoms proofs have been finalized and approved and we have entered our agreement with the manufacturer. We have sent the initial deposit payment to Whatz Games and all Era of Kingdoms: Inquisition files are ready, just waiting for the final rules and the physical proofs for the Play Mats to make sure no adjustments are needed. We did miss our initial target date, but will be working with them to get these into production as quickly as possible.
• Fulfillment partners have been updated and we have been working closely to prepare for the shipments, with careful consideration for all new import laws that have impacted Kickstarter type crowdfunding campaigns.  We will ensure all frieght and final shipping is ready to go when the games are finished in manufacturing.
